The PVLD provides in one 60 lb. (28 kg.) hard-shell suitcase the equipment and materials necessary for rapid and accurate diagnosis in the field. This portability is particularly useful for tending to herd animals that cannot be transported to a veterinary facility – especially during the grazing time when the cattle are in the higher elevation and or difficult to reach. 

The portable laboratory includes:

•         • a quality binocular microscope,

•         • a micro-hematocrit centrifuge,

•         • refractometer,

•         • a kit to test for mastitis (CMT),

•         • cold chain / refrigeration capacity (for media),

•         • an incubator, and

•         • Variety of supplies.

•         • The PVL comes with three power sources

•                        o standard A/C electrical current,

•                        o battery power, or

•                        o Solar panel –making it versatile for use anywhere.
