The Portable Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory enables a veterinarian to conduct an on-farm and on-site diagnoses of animals in the following areas:

• Complete blood counts, including WBC and RBC

• Culturing and incubation of bacteria

• Fecal examinations

• Staining and microscopy of tissues, fluids, bacteria and parasites

• Semen analysis

• Serum chemistries

• Urinalysis

• This unit can be used to perform CBC’s, serum chemistries, fluorescent microscopy, hematology, urinalysis, fecal examinations, microbiology and other tests. It allows semen analysis, staining and microscopy of tissues, fluids, bacteria and parasites, culturing and incubation of bacteria, complete blood counts , including WBC and RBC.

• The PVL has been designed and field tested to provide the equipment, materials and re-agents that practicing veterinarians need to diagnose common diseases, monitor animal health and provide disease surveillance, on far, in the field or in clinic.

• The veterinarian can utilize this laboratory, for example, to identify mastitis pathogens, determine appropriate treatments and establish mastitis surveillance program or diagnose and monitor parasite control program in animals.
